going for fame?

why ppl go for fame? it is a funny thing. i am now having squash lessons or rather training. I was told that i could not represent my school in the Inter-poly squash game next year as school team members. Anyway i am not satisfied by their remarks about me as not coming for training, therefore no chance to go for competition.

It was at that exact moment of time that i started thinking about the fame and glory and then to the self-esteem of oneself. I was very dissapointed when i received the news. The world is made up of different people, so i guessed each of us are structured differently. So fame goes to the monorities be it is hard work or sheer work, it does not matter as long as he/she can play well, @ tht moment of time. But why fame? I have experienced many people who are so self-centered about the temporary goals in life because they struck it off good in that portion of his performance therefore he is selected to represent.

To me the squash incident really cause me to have a hard time attacking me emotionally and thus making me strive hard to achieve my goal in the representation of school, NYP to excel in this part of the sports. U may say flights of the same feathers flock together. So that causes me to be jealous of my friends. Last year, we are freshies for squash. They just pulled through not very committed type. But given a chance to perform, lady luck was on their side and they succeeded in being in the school team. I am very sad. That being said fame and glory shames one.

Today I went to Ngee Ann Polytechnic to have our Annual Poly Forum for the year 2005. I arrived at NYP at 7 plus am. We boarded bus at 8++, and reached destination at 9am. But the directors and speakers will only arrive at 10am. Okay, so what do we do? Slack around, chatting. That being said, I am not representing NYP SEG club for the Poly Forum. Shall the day have a good start? Why not?

There was this speaker that went up and then had some inspiring talk for about 2 hours. Boy! he was good, Professor Leo. Then go for break at 1050, several minutes late. Time does the job. We proceeded to the lecture hall, carried on with a talk by a chairman of NYAA GAHA. This guy was humorous and somewhat biased, he was only concentrating on NP, ngee ann poly for short.

Then we went for lunch, 2 hours later, do not know why? Not hungry and yet do not want to miss the food, because we stillhad to survive to 4pm in the late afternoon. After eating, i was almost falling asleep in the next part of the programme by a speaker, her tone was quite monotone, maybe she was suffering from lag jet still at the time of her speech.

Anyway went back to the lecture room again for ice-breaker and then into our sub-theme, the main core program for our discussion. In front program was just to spurn us up. But i think a bit boring. Hope it works.

Then home sweet home back to poly. Reached at 4.15pm.

So what is the poly forum, I still do not get the idea yet! Why represent poly must wear blazer and stuffs, why must go Johore Bahru to hold the forum anyway? Confused? Bizzare.

Motivating youngsters? More like getting fame for the country and oneself and then the institutions we are currently schooling in. Yeah! Oh right!
